1998 marked the recording of Bombardier's
first vinyl EP ("Biomech Warfare", Low Res 003) and
first full-length CD ("Violence", Vinyl Communications
161). These 2 releases began an extensive career in experimental
and hardcore breaks and techno. In 2008, many of the classic
tracks have been hand-picked, remastered, and assembled in
a succinct snapshot of the last 10 years of work. Ranging from
the cinematic ambience of "Unchosen," which is the
starting track for many of Bombardier's live shows, to the
brutal 220 bpm "Chamber," wrapping the set up with
distorted screams; "Syn," the powerhouse drum-and-bass
track which has since been remixed by several prominent producers
including Christoph Da Babalon, CDatakill, and Eye-D; "Possess" and "Pandora's
Box," bombastic, heavy industral tracks with signature
Bombardier basslines; "DC," "Stomach," "Kamphetamine," and "Bleed" -
all thrashing, punk-styled anthems, and finally "Schizophrenia," a
pinnacle in Bombardier's experimental breaks and song structures.
12 key tracks of the Bombardier catalog, remastered for this
new digital release. |
