Jason Snell was brought on to Low Res Records in Detroit by Justin Ivey in 1998. Snell's music and graphic design helped shape the identity of Low Res, one of the longest standing experimental electronic labels in the scene. In 2000, Snell began D13, a subsidiary of Low Res, as a palette for his music and designs.
